Jack Of All Trades. What Would Jim Do?
Carpenter. Plumber, HVAC Tech, Welder and an Electrician, our namesake, James Henry Rowe, never stopped working. Never stopped learning. But the best thing he ever did was set an example from which the rest of us could learn.
What would Jim Do? What didn’t he do?
What We Do
Our Focus
Skilled tradespeople are the bedrock of our communities. Where would we be without Electricians, Plumbers, and HVAC Technicians? What could we build without Carpenters, Pipefitters and Welders? It is essential that the community recognizes the contributions of the workers that build our homes, towns, and cities.
That’s where the Jim Rowe foundation for the trades supports students in providing formal training and hands-on experiences, preparing students for the well-paying career opportunities in the skilled trades through apprenticeship programs and trade school scholarships.
Why Choose Us
Skilled Trades People Are In High Demand
We’re building relationships with educators and contractors to help young people chase these dreams. Some programs actually allow you to earn money while you get the training you need to become a skilled tradesperson.
Skilled trades are in constant demand, ensuring job security and opportunities for employment almost anywhere.
Many trades require less time in education compared to a four-year degree, resulting in significantly lower or no student debt.
Skilled tradespeople often start earning a good wage immediately after certification, with potential for substantial growth.
Working in a skilled trade can offer a high level of satisfaction from tangible results, autonomy, and the opportunity to master a craft.
The Jim Rowe Foundation is dedicated to working with our schools and local contractors to help educate and support the next generation of skilled tradesman!
